For the past 20 years, María Ofelia worked in a landfill at the bottom of a volcano to survive. Now has a life she had only dreamed of, thanks to your incredible support.
From around the world, you all came together to donate nearly £1500 to her - more than she's earned in her lifetime!
Since the success of her story, we've been closely documenting her Impact Story, to show you the difference your donation made.
With every story, we focus on supporting those in need in the most self-sustainable way. Providing Maria with the right tools to help her build a new future, whilst monitoring her progress along the way.
Maria wanted to purchase two bulls to start a cattle business, where she will reinvest the profits of the sold bulls year on year to scale her business and live off of the profits.
The remaining and ongoing donations will go towards the cows medical bills as well as providing her family with any emergency essentials they will need each year.
